Electric Cooker Installation
We provide certified installations of electric cookers, ovens & hobs, giving you piece of mind that your appliance has been installed correctly and safely by a professional.
What is included in the Electric Cooker Installation Service
We will first inspect & test your existing electrical circuit provided for your electric cooker. If it is safe and suitable to use then we will continue with the installation of your appliance. If the existing wiring is unsafe or not suitable then we will give you detailed advice on how to proceed.
After the Electric Cooker has been installed we will send you a certificate of installation. We are registered with NICEIC.
Please note. We do not provide any carpentry or kitchen fitting services, the area for the electric cooker must already be prepared and ready for the cooker to be fitted.
If any extras like connection cables or flex outlets are required then we will quote for those on site but would typically not be more than about £10.
Why you should use a certified electrician?
Circuit Suitability. A qualified electrician will be able to assess if your existing circuit is suitable for your new oven, including making sure the cable size is adequate for the power of your cooker and that the circuit is in a safe condition.
Safety – Risk of electrical fire. DIY installations can often be associated with household electrical fires. We have seen too many example of poor and dangerous DIY fittings that have put the occupants at risk. Having an approved electrician fit your electric cooker will ensure that it is installed correctly.
Piece of mind. Our electricians are NICEIC approved, registration no: 610866000. We will issue you a certificate of installation and make sure your electric cooker is installed correctly & safely.
Before our technician arrives
Here’s a list of documents you should make available (if you have them) and things you should do before our electrician arrives to perform the Electric Cooker Installation service:
Documents (if you have them):
- Electric Cooker manufacturers instructions.
Check List:
- Have the new electric cooker ready on site.
- Have the kitchen clear of any obstacles to ensure a safe working area.
- Make sure full access to the consumer unit (fuse box) is available.
- Tell us the height and location of the consumer unit (so we know what ladders to bring).
- Mains electric must be working and any paid for meters have enough credit.
- Any known damage or problems must be clearly identified before the inspection begins.
